Thailand tourism, so many thing to see and do. Where do I start!? As I always mention to others, I'm still a tourist at times and that's great because it means I still view things with the same awe and openness that only a tourist or someone experiencing things for the first time can. So I wear my tourist badge with honor!
As you can imagine this topic is huge so I will always be adding to it.
One thing I'll promise never to do is overload you with HOTEL information. I believe too many web sites throw hotel info at you when what you are mostly looking for is information on things to do and places to go; hotel info comes second here!
Before we get started make sure and find the temple, shopping or beach sections to the left as those pages go more in depth on those subjects.
General Thailand Tourist Attractions,

1. Simba Sea Trips - This small family run sea trip business is operated out of Phuket, Thailand. They are number one in fun and hospitality ran island tours. The reason they are so popular is because they are more personal and NOT your run of the mill cattle market tour boat operator.
They carry less passengers, have a great boat, the owners go out with guests whenever possible, and they spend more time at the local beach and snorkel spots than anyone else. You may find cheaper but you may not find better.
2. Flight of the Gibbon - This is a tree top zip line course through 3 kilometers and 26 platforms of pure jungle canopy. Part of this adventure also includes wood and rope bridges, a zoo and safari, plus many other activities.

If you want a real jungle environment then you'll never forget this experience! You'll hear howling Gibbons (monkeys, the kind you think of when someone says jungle) and see a host of wildlife.
I personally think this is a great tour as it has low impact of the environment and still allows many people to visit.
The location is near Chompoo Wildlife Sanctuary and Kheo Safari.
Note: Mosquitoes are not bad during the day (barely noticeable) but at night be careful of stealth ninja mosquitoes (they are not the same mosquitoes that you are use to back home).

3. Patara Elephant Farm - A very unique elephant experience. It's not just about riding an elephant for a day here, it's about management, health-care and more.
During the "Elephant Owner for a Day" program you'll get hands on experience designed to get you to take part in responsibilities and care of an elephant. You'll be trained on approach, learning its temperament, checking its health, feeding, bathing and brushing the elephant in the river, how to ride, and even how to give verbal commands. You'll also visit various temples and waterfalls with your elephant.
Now if the above doesn't get you in touch with nature and elephants then I've got to check your pulse!
4. Bike Thailand - It seems as if many people enjoy bicycle tours of Thailand. I've personally never enjoyed doing that in the land of smiles as it always seems too hot, BUT if this is your thing then you'll be quite happy with the next couple of operators my friends have raved about.
Absolute Explorer. Bicycle tours of Bangkok and Thailand, they hit many of the casual Thailand spots. These guys say they are more dedicated to the casual rider and from what I know about my friend who's done these tours I would say that's true!
Grasshopper Adventures. This operator hits alot of the "unknown" spots but is also great at getting you to the better known Thailand tourists attractions.
5. Alcazar - Or All-Bizarre as I call it. I'm not big on the ladyboy or Katoey shows but it seems as if most people are at least curious to find out what these shows look like. Alcazar is one in Pattaya, the other show is Tiffany's.
I prefer Alcazar as my wife can watch the show and I can go to the shooting range under the building. Yep, you heard right, there's a shooting range under Alcazar, not a bad one either.
Tickets are around 500 baht.

6. Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden - A day just isn't enough at this tropical play ground.
What's going on here?... Check out this eclectic collection of things to do,

The best thing about this place is the relaxed beautiful setting. There is enough to do here that you could rent out one of their hotel rooms or villas and stay a couple days. You'll also find great food, friendly people, massages, swimming and cycling.
7. Crocodile Farms. There are many crocodile farms spread all over Thailand. And they are all a little different from one another. For example, at Samutprakarn you can shoot a gun (all be it an old one); in Pattaya you can take a picture with a baby tiger or help open the egg shell of a new born baby croc.
I even saw a dog and pig inside a tiger habitat. I think they put the pig and the dog with the tiger to show that these animals can actually get along. I'm not sure if there was some kind of trick involved but I saw it with my own eye's and it was pretty amazing.

Bangkok Tourist Attractions,
1. Snake Farm (Queen Saovabha Memorial Institute) - This is not your typical run of the mill snake farm. This place actually teaches you something and is very professional. This location is actually where the Red Cross makes and researches antidotes for snake bites.
You can watch snake handling, venom extraction and other events.
The tickets are cheap at 200 baht for adults and 150 for kids.
Great for families (maybe the highlight of your trip!), kids will love it.
Location (make sure you go to this one only!) - 1871 Rama IV Rd Thai Red Cross Institute Bangkok 10330 Thailand
2. Aksra Theatre - I'm a sucker for Thai tradition and something different and this place has it. It's a very intricate, unique yet traditional Thai puppet show. Awesome music, stage and theatrics. One of my all time favorites.

Located at King Power Complex near Victory Monument.

3. Flower Market - You may not think of flowers when you think of Thailand but you will once you come here. Thailand actually uses more flowers on a daily basis than most Western countries. Why is this? Almost all Thais use various flowers for Buddhist prayers or give them to monks or temples for daily rituals.
You'll discover many flowers you've never seen before and it's open 24 hours a day, so stop by any time.
Location - Delaat Pak klong
4. Siam Niramit - If you'd like to get a quick sample of Thai culture in Bangkok then this might be a good place to stop by. You'll find a sample Thai village, some elephants (which some people may be against in Bangkok), a theater for some traditional Thai shows, and few other attractions.
Warning, this place can be a little Disneylandish.
Located at 19 Tiamruammit Road HuayKwang Bangkok, Thailand 10320
5. Jim Thompson House - This tranquil and elegant spot will provide you with historical information on a American man named Jim Thompson. Jim Thompson is the individual responsible for starting the Thai silk industry after WW2. Inside you'll find a great collection of Asian Art and displays.

You are not allowed to take photos here and you must explore the residence on a guided tour but it's well worth a stop and it's easy to get to. I love Biography's and learning about other people's life so I rather enjoyed this tour.
Right off the BTS Sky Train stop, "National Stadium".
100 Baht for Adults50 for Students.

6. Taling Chan Floating Market - This is just COOL! How could you not like something like this. I know it's touristy but it's still fun.
I really like eating and shopping at this river canal area and I think you will too.
7. Rajawongse Clothier. I'm very familiar with Bangkok Tourism as I lived in the city for many years. However, one thing I never knew about until someone told me was, Rajawongse Clothier.
This place is reminiscent of the old days when people stopped by the orient for excellent, quality fitting clothes for a decent price from friendly people and this place does all that with spades.
You'll most likely buy more clothes than you indented but if they are that good then why not!
Located right off Sukhumvit near the Landmark Hotel.
