Thailand Food, From Fruit to Thai Food Recipes

Ever had a taste of original Thai food? If so, then you know that once you get the exotic flavors in your system you gotta have it every once in awhile.

tom-kha-goong I remember the first time I had Thai food, I actually didn't like it too much as I never had tasted anything similar. I ordered Tom Kha Goong and couldn't believe coconut could be used like that. The flavors of ginger, coconut, lemongrass and other exotic flavors were very powerful and different for a Westerner growing up on steak, potatoes and the occasional Mexican food. However, a few weeks later I could still remember the strange flavors and I wanted to go back try it again. The rest is history.

Thailand Food and Culture

chicken-satay Thai food is about bringing people together and sharing. When I see Thai people eating together I see how America may have been in the past. Meals are an important part of culture and living for family and friends of all nations. I t's too bad America has lost a large part of that.

The friendly Thai attitude is infectious and you can totally feel the warmth at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Thai people really love to be around people and meals are a great excuse for Thai people to gather and share discussions.

Thai people actually eat slightly different Thai dishes than what we foreigners eat as you'll see here under, What the Foreigners eat vs What the Thai's eat. Basically, Thai's eat a little spicier and a little more exotic than us foreigners.
